Fear Free Certified® | Pet First Aid Trained | Family-Owned Since 2016

Why Preparation Matters

The first visit sets the tone for how your pet responds to care while you're away. With a few simple steps, you’ll help your sitter provide safe, personalized attention—and ensure your pet stays relaxed and happy.

How to Get Ready

1. Prepare Your Home

  • Share working access instructions (codes, lockboxes, concierge details)

  • Secure gates, crates, or areas where pets should stay during visits

  • Remove hazards like open treat bags, toxic plants, or tangled cords

2. Set Out Supplies

Place essentials in a visible area near your pet’s routine spot:

  • Food, bowls, medications, litter or waste bags

  • Leash/harness and favorite toy

  • Cleaning supplies for rainy days or messes

3. Update Your Portal Profile

Accurate information is key to quality care. Be sure to confirm:

  • Feeding and walk routines

  • Medication instructions (if applicable)

  • Emergency contacts and vet details

  • Behavioral notes (shyness, reactivity, preferences)

Pro Tip: All instructions must be in your Time To Pet portal. We rely on it for every visit.

What to Expect During the Visit

Here’s what we’ll do:

  • Greet your pet using Fear Free techniques

  • Follow the care plan in your portal

  • Feed, walk, clean up, and engage your pet

  • Administer medications if needed

  • Send a real-time visit report with notes and photos

You’ll receive updates through the Time To Pet app, so you can travel confidently knowing your pet is doing well.
