Fear Free Certified® Approach

Gentle. Trust-Based. Stress-Reducing.

At Pet Sitting 4 Comfort® (PS4C), we understand that pets are family—and that even routine care can cause fear, anxiety, or stress. That’s why we follow Fear Free Certified® handling methods during every visit, helping your pets feel safe, relaxed, and understood.

We’re certified through the nationally recognized Fear Free Pets® program and apply their science-based techniques to every interaction—whether it’s a drop-in visit, a grooming session, or vet tech care.

What Is the Fear Free® Approach?

Fear Free® is a pet care philosophy that emphasizes emotional well-being alongside physical health. It’s based on positive reinforcement, body language observation, and gentle handling to reduce stress triggers in dogs and cats.

Our methods are designed to:

  • Minimize anxiety before, during, and after visits

  • Use force-free, low-stress handling techniques

  • Build trust over time through consistent care

  • Support pets with special needs, senior pets, and rescues
