Meet & Greet Tips for New Clients

What to Expect During Your Complimentary In-Home Visit

At Pet Sitting 4 Comfort® (PS4C), the meet-and-greet is a relaxed, no-pressure visit designed to help everyone feel comfortable before services begin.

This visit allows us to:

  • build trust with your pet

  • understand routines and care needs

  • confirm home access and safety details

  • ensure we’re the right fit for your household

Meet-and-greet visits typically last 30–45 minutes and are scheduled after we review your contact form.

What Happens During the Visit

During the meet-and-greet, we will:

  • meet you and your pets in their home environment

  • review routines, feeding schedules, and behavior

  • go over medications or special care needs

  • confirm access and safety procedures

  • answer questions about services and scheduling

This helps us create a care plan tailored to your pet.

How to Prepare

To help the visit go smoothly, please be ready to:

  • walk us through your pet’s daily routine

  • show where food, medications, litter, and supplies are kept

  • test keys, lockboxes, or door codes

  • inform us about cameras, alarms, or building access

  • keep pets indoors for a calm introduction

You may also want to download the Time To Pet mobile app so your portal is ready to activate after the visit.

Questions We May Ask

To provide consistent, personalized care, we may ask about:

  • how your pet responds to new people

  • allergies or medical conditions

  • feeding and potty routines

  • enrichment, exercise, and play preferences

  • past pet sitting or boarding experiences

  • shared care responsibilities

What Happens After the Meet & Greet

Within 24 hours, you will receive:

  • a welcome email

  • instructions to activate your client portal

  • requests to electronically sign required documents

Required documents:

  • Service Agreement

  • Policies & Procedures Manual

  • Veterinary Release Form

  • Home Access Authorization (if applicable)

Once your portal is activated, all scheduling, updates, and communication are managed there.

Tips for a Smooth Introduction

To help your pet feel comfortable:

  • allow them to approach at their own pace

  • share any quirks or behaviors (e.g., doorbell anxiety, hiding spots)

  • let us know about fears, reactivity, or past experiences

  • ask any questions you may have

Our goal is a calm, positive first interaction for both you and your pet.
