Steve San Miguel

Co-Founder &

Certified Professional Pet Sitter

Steve co-founded Pet Sitting 4 Comfort back in 2016. He loves the medical field and previously worked as a Veterinary Technician.

Growing up with animals his whole life working with them was almost second nature. He always had dogs in the house, from Huskies to Chinese Sharpies, but that was never the only critter he had running around.  He's had hamsters, gerbils and any small mammal his parents would allow through the doors eventually became a pet. The passion for working with animals was always there.

In 2011, he transferred from VCU to GMU to be closer to home and figure out what he wanted to do with his life.

His search quickly ended when he started working as a Vet Assistant at Cherrydale Veterinary Clinic (CVC) under Dr. Sunny House's guidance. He will always be grateful for allowing him an opportunity to learn and grow as an individual.

Through his work at the animal clinic, he learned about all aspects of caring for animals, beyond just pet ownership and the symptoms of countless diseases, emergency care, and numerous other valuable skills. As time went by and seeing pets outside their own environment can be stressful and cause them to act out or misbehave; this has always been the unhappiest part of his job as a technician. To counteract that, he decided to step down from his Vet Tech position at CVC in 2017. He maintained a great relationship with the entire staff; this led him to take an exciting new chapter by focusing full-time on providing specialty pet care and house sitting in the comfort of the pet's home.
