When we introduced Christina Nguyen in early August, she was beginning her onboarding and training with Pet Sitting 4 Comfort®.

Now, after completing 120+ hours of supervised PS4C field training and professional education, Christina is ready to begin routine independent pet-care visits starting September 2, 2026.

For pet parents, that means another trained caregiver is ready to support dogs and cats as part of our fully in-house Arlington team.

How Christina Prepared

Christina’s training included:

  • Dog walking and cat sitting

  • Feeding, fresh water, and litter care

  • Play and enrichment

  • Home access and security

  • Time To Pet workflows

  • Health and behavior observations

  • Fear Free® handling

  • Emergency procedures

  • Supervised medication routines

  • Client communication

PS4C’s training process progresses from orientation and shadowing to supervised visits, independent work with feedback, and continued education.

Professional Training Along the Way

During onboarding, Christina also completed:

  • Fear Free® Pet Sitter

  • Karen Pryor Academy Train Your Cat

  • PSI Pet First Aid & CPCR

  • American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED

  • Pet Tech® Pet CPR & First Aid

These courses support different parts of her role, including low-stress handling, feline behavior, and emergency preparedness.

What She’ll Handle First

Christina will begin with routine pet-care visits that match her current training and clearance.

This may include:

  • Dog walks and potty breaks

  • Cat-sitting visits

  • Feeding and fresh water

  • Litter box care

  • Play and enrichment

  • Approved routine medications

  • Time To Pet visit reports

More complex Specialty Care cases will continue to be matched to each caregiver’s training and experience.

PS4C also requires medication administration to be completed only after appropriate training and approval.

Independent, But Supported

Christina’s field work will remain under the oversight of Steve San Miguel, Co-Founder • Field Operations.

She’ll also have support from Hong-An Huynh, Co-Founder • Client Relations, and Khadiza “Shatee” Sadia, Senior Pet Care Specialist.

PS4C caregivers are expected to report and escalate health, behavior, safety, or access concerns when needed.

Her Training Continues

Independent visits are the next step, not the end of Christina’s development.

She’ll continue building her skills through:

  • Field experience

  • Continuing education

  • Additional certifications

  • Team feedback

Ongoing education is built into PS4C’s training pathway.

Congratulations, Christina!

We’re proud of Christina for reaching this next stage as a PS4C Pet Care Specialist.

Her progress reflects PS4C’s training-first approach to preparing caregivers for independent visits.
