Meet Christina Nguyen: Our New Pet Care Specialist in Training

We’re excited to welcome Christina Nguyen as our newest Pet Care Specialist in Training.
Current clients may already recognize Christina from recent visit photos and Time To Pet reports.
She has been joining visits throughout Ballston, Clarendon, and Rosslyn in Arlington, Virginia while getting to know the pets in our care.

Meet Christina
Christina brings two years of professional animal care experience from an Arlington canine daycare and fitness setting.
Her background includes:
Canine Body Language
Recognizing early signs of stress, discomfort, illness, and behavior changes.
Enrichment and Exercise
Providing structured fitness and enrichment based on each dog’s energy level and needs.
Specialized Handling
Working safely with reactive and high-energy dogs using positive, low-stress techniques.

Providing clear updates about dogs’ activities, behavior, and wellbeing.
How We Prepare New Caregivers
Before caring for pets independently, every PS4C caregiver completes:
Structured onboarding
Shadow visits
Supervised field training
Hands-on evaluation
Christina has already completed approximately 40 hours of supervised field training.
Her training includes:
Following individual care instructions
Learning each pet’s routine
Writing clear Time To Pet reports
Managing home access securely
Recognizing health or behavior changes
Following emergency procedures

These gradual introductions give pets time to become familiar with her presence before future visits.
They can be especially helpful for shy cats, anxious dogs, senior pets, rescue pets, and animals cautious around unfamiliar people.
We let relationships develop at the pet’s pace.
