Continued Education
We here at Pet Sitting 4 Comfort (PS4C) believe in continual education and constant renewal of knowledge. As such, we are always updating our expertise in animal behavior and animal care by taking online courses like the Fear Free program (available to pet parents, too!) and are now certified dog trainers after completing Animal Behavior College (ABC): dog obedience instructor training program and an externship with a local certified dog trainer these past few months.
In addition, we've decided to continue optimizing the quality of care for our client's pets by enrolling in a cat behavioral trainer and a pet massage program.
Cat Behavioral Training
Like dogs, cats can be trained with simple cat training commands, positive reinforcement, and a clicker if you choose. Because felines are known for their independence, people assume cats are hard to train, but positive training methods like rewarding good behavior produce solid results. Thousands of pet owners struggle with feline problems and behaviors like scratching the furniture, litter box issues, hissing, spraying, biting, and more.
Pet Massage
The ability to soothe and calm dogs and cats through touch improves the human-animal relationship and promotes trust and bonding.
We'll enhance our skills of:
Minimizing discomfort/pain
Helping pets recover from injuries
Soothing the aches of elderly pets
Creating a more positive training experience
Dog Training
We'll continue to improve our dog training teaching skills so we can offer the following services in the future:
Private lesson & group class dog training: basic obedience cues and puppy training
Group class problem-behavior resolution tips and techniques
Private lesson behavior modification: excessive barking, inappropriate chewing, improper elimination, jumping on people, and other problem behaviors
Phone consultations on how owners could begin modifying their dog's behavior
